Easy Breakfast Sausage Burgers
Cook on the grill for about 3 minutes. Remove the slices and serve with cheese.
Grain meal with mushroom & parsnip
This will keep in the fridge until you need it. Stir in a pinch of salt, and set aside. Cook in the microwave for 3 minutes. Serve with a large bowl of boiling veg.
How to make sausage burgers

Serves 4
8 rashers streaky bacon or chopped garlic smoked streaky bacon, roughly chopped
4 cups water
1 tsp oil
2 teaspoons baking powder
3 medium onions, sliced thick
2 medium carrots, chopped
1 medium celery stalk, chopped
3 medium garlic cloves, minced
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp flour
2 tsp rapeseed oil
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tsp ground nutmeg
Heat the oven to 220C/gas mark 7. In a large saucepan, bring the water, oil, baking powder and onions, carrots, and garlic to a boil. Meanwhile, in a small frying pan, heat the yeast in a large bowl.
Heat the oil and vinegar in a small frying pan over medium heat. Season the beans and cook in the same pan for 3 minutes. Drain.
Whip the beans in a large mixing bowl, drizzle with the flour and fry in the same pan over medium heat for 4 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the milk. Serve hot with onions, spinach, and mushrooms.
Broccoli with chives and parsnip
Place a small ovenproof pan over medium heat. Fry 1 layer of broccoli on each side for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and transfer to a roasting tray. Cook for 25 minutes in the oven.
Parsnip, broccoli, and green beans
If you are using broccoli, wash in hot water for 10 minutes. Halve the cooked mushrooms and sprinkle over the broccoli.
I use parsnip for things like vegetable stock but you could also use a mixture of parsnip and broccoli.
